Welcome to Dave's Trains

 

The new pages on Glasgow's abandoned railways are taking shape. First the ex-Caley lines north of the Clyde.

This web site illustrates one persons' fascination for trains and celebrates a personal view of the railways of the British Isles, The United States and South Africa. The original pages for Italy,  the Irish Republic and Holland have been removed as they weren't going to be updated anytime soon and also to make room for an a pictorial essay on the disused ex-Caledonian lines north of the Clyde.

All the photographs are from my personal collection unless otherwise acknowledged.

It is my intention that the portfolio of photographs will not remain static and will be replaced regularly with new images so please visit the site again.

Many of the photographs have been taken on 'expeditions' with the members of the Eastbank Model Railway Club whose interest and passion for this hobby has lasted now for almost fifty years.
